Dominique Sabino

Dominique graduated from the University of Seychelles in 2015 with a BSc in Computing and Information Systems. Soon after, he joined the Seychelles Tourism Board as a Digital Marketing Executive, where he spent two years managing web projects, including the destination website (www.seychelles.com) and the country’s first mobile app for visitors.

Eager to expand his expertise, Dominique pursued a Master’s in Business Administration in Shanghai, China, where he spent three years immersed in cultural experiences and international business projects. During this time, he worked on consulting assignments with global brands such as Miji, Xiaomi, Volvo, Biocad, and Apple, collaborating with leaders and colleagues on market research and solutions to real-world challenges. Upon graduating, he returned to Seychelles but, like many professionals, faced career challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, with hiring freezes limiting opportunities.

He persevered, gaining experience across sectors: one year in the offshore industry at AAA Management Services, followed by short stints as a Relationship Manager at Absa and Business Development Manager at the University of Seychelles. After Absa, Dominique was offered the opportunity to return to the Tourism Department (formerly the Seychelles Tourism Board), where he advanced into a management role as Digital Acquisition Manager from 2022 to 2024. In early 2025, he went on to secure what he describes as a dream opportunity, becoming Business Development Manager for Aria (Seychelles), part of Universal Resorts, a hospitality group managing ten renowned properties across the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Seychelles (including Labriz Resort & Spa, Silhouette).

Passionate about giving back to his alma mater, Dominique embraced the chance to help revive the UniSey Alumni Association. As Chairperson, he is committed to uniting and engaging the growing alumni community, with a vision of achieving meaningful milestones for the university, the country, and the network itself.
