Student Voices and Advocacy

The Student Voices and Advocacy Sub-Committee serves as a bridge between current students and alumni, ensuring that student perspectives are heard and addressed. By facilitating ongoing dialogue through surveys, forums, and structured feedback channels, the group identifies key student priorities and explores how alumni can contribute to solutions. This initiative strengthens collaboration and helps create a more supportive and responsive university environment.

The Sustainability Initiatives Sub-Committee focuses on promoting environmental responsibility and preserving cultural heritage within the alumni community and beyond. Through activities such as tree planting, e-waste collection drives, and low-waste campaigns, the group encourages alumni to take part in meaningful, hands-on initiatives. By partnering with community organisations and raising awareness, this sub-committee aims to inspire sustainable practices and collective action across Seychelles.

The Wellness and Well-Being Sub-Committee is dedicated to promoting holistic health among alumni and students, encompassing mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Through initiatives such as peer-support networks, stress management sessions, fitness and wellness activities, and awareness campaigns, the group encourages individuals to lead balanced and healthy lifestyles. Its goal is to foster a supportive and resilient community where well-being is prioritised and actively nurtured.

The Mentorship and Careers Sub-Committee connects alumni expertise with the career development needs of students and graduates. By offering mentorship programmes, career talks, CV and LinkedIn clinics, and job-shadowing opportunities, the group helps individuals navigate their professional journeys. This sub-committee plays a key role in strengthening pathways to employment, growth, and lifelong learning.
