Ramgie Pillay

Ramgie Pillay is the Treasurer of the UniSey Alumni Association and currently serves as Executive Director at the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment. A graduate of the University of Seychelles, he completed his degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business in 2020. His career journey began that same year at the Indian Ocean Tuna (I.O.T) company, where he started as a Production Planner. Through dedication, skill, and a strong work ethic, Ramgie advanced steadily to the role of Production Planning Supervisor, later expanding his portfolio to include Inventory Management. These experiences gave him a solid grounding in operations, logistics, and resource efficiency—skills that continue to serve him well in leadership.
In 2024, Ramgie made a significant career transition into public service, taking on the role of Executive Director in the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment. This move reflected not only his professional growth but also his deep passion for Seychelles’ natural environment. In his current role, he is committed to advancing sustainable development and shaping policies that balance the nation’s economic needs with the urgent challenges of climate change and environmental preservation. For Ramgie, sustainability is not just a policy goal but a responsibility to future generations.
As Treasurer of the Alumni Association, Ramgie oversees financial management and ensures transparency, accountability, and sound stewardship of resources. His professional expertise, coupled with his commitment to sustainability and national development, brings both rigor and vision to the role. He is dedicated to ensuring that the Association not only thrives financially but also contributes meaningfully to UniSey’s growth and to Seychelles as a whole.
